April 25, 2024: Sylvania, OH 43560 The Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting HEA Firebirds HomeSchool to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perrysburg for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 1.
The (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Northview (Sylvania, OH). The Wildcats enter the non-league game with a 13-4 record.
Match Summary
SYLVANIA - Northview hosted HEA Firebirds, a homeschool program out of Livonia, Michigan and the Cats were victorious in their second reverse sweep of the week, pulling off an impressive 5-set victory to move to 13-4 on the inaugural campaign.
Leading for Northview was Christian Berling with 16 kills, 16 digs, 3 blocks, and 3 aces; all team highs, while passing a 2.05 on the night. The Cats got significant offense from Evan Beazley, 7 kills; and Bryce Behan, 5 kills; and had huge defensive plays by Beazley with 13 digs; freshman libero, Gavin Smith with 10 digs; and setter Dillon Ersig with 9 digs and 30 assists. But it was the total team effort of the Cats that pushed this team for the comeback victory getting key plays and moments from many.
The Cats enjoy a few days off for the rest of the week before returning to the court next week.
