Illinois High School Softball - Mt. Zion bounces Decatur Eisenhower
April 25, 2024: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL), 19-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Braves now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Argenta-Oreana for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Mt. Zion will battle a Bombers squad coming off a 17-4 league win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Decatur Eisenhower falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to battle the Railsplitters in a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Railsplitters enter the challenge with a record of 7-16.
