The Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) baseball got by the visiting George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV), 4-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 29.

With the defeat, George Washington drops to 15-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV) to clash with the Flying Eagles in a Coalfield AAA challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Flying Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 12-8.
