The Cathedral Fighting Irish edged the visiting Avon Orioles softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Irish meet the Lawrence North Wildcats (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 27. Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Edgewood (Ellettsville, IN).
