The Malad Dragons softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Declo Hornets to 1 in the Dragons league win on Saturday.

The Dragons now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Firth for a non-league battle on Monday, April 27. Malad will confront a Cougars team coming off a 21-8 league win over West Jefferson (Terreton, ID). The Cougars record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Declo moves to 7-12 on the season. The Hornets travel to West Side (Dayton, ID) to confront the Pirates in a 3A South East Idaho battle on Thursday, April 30. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 8-9.
