In Saturday's non-league match, the host Montpelier Locomotives softball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Delta Panthers.

The Locomotives (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Antwerp (Antwerp, OH). The Archers go into the non-league match with a 2-10 record. In their last match, Antwerp was nipped by Paulding (Paulding, OH), 14-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Wauseon Indians (Wauseon, OH) in a Northwest Ohio Athletic match, on Monday, April 27. Delta will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Indians go into the match with a 8-7 record after their 23-1 league loss to Archbold (Archbold, OH).
