Connecticut High School Softball - Staples nudges Stamford
April 26, 2021: Westport, CT 06880 Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stamford Black Knights (Stamford, CT), 2-1 in a league challenge.
The Wreckers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgefield for a Fairfield County challenge on Wednesday, April 28. Staples will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Darien (Darien, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Stamford falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Black knights host New Canaan (New Canaan, CT) to battle the Rams in a Fairfield County challenge on Wednesday, April 28. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. New Canaan lost 17-3 in their recent league challenge against Danbury (Danbury, CT)
