Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Tornadoes confront the Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A challenge, on Friday, April 29. Hickory will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 1-0 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

The Warriors now possess a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Lincoln for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, April 29. West Iredell will confront a Knights team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Knights record now stands at 3-10.
