April 26, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Salem Wildcats soccer squad scored a close 7-1 triumph over the Mt. Vernon Rams.
The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Columbia (Columbia, IL). The Eagles come into the Cahokia - Mississippi battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Columbia was overwhelmed by De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Rams (1-15) will now prepare for their battle against Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden (Anna, IL). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 8-11 record. In their last battle, Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden nudged Massac County (Metropolis, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
