South Carolina High School Soccer - Darlington held off by Marlboro County
April 26, 2023: Darlington, SC 29532 The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) and the host Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC), saw Marlboro County's soccer squad get by Darlington by a count of 1-0.
The Bulldogs now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Camden for a AAA Region 6 test on Thursday, April 27. Marlboro County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, Darlington drops to 3-14 on the season. The Falcons travel to Wilson (Florence, SC) to meet the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, April 28. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 4-14. Wilson lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Governor's School for Science & Math (Hartsville, SC)
