Maine High School Softball - Orono bounces Central
April 26, 2024: Orono, ME 04473 Orono Riots (Orono, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 12-1 in a league challenge.
The Riots now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mattanawcook for a Class C North challenge on Monday, April 29. Orono will battle a Lynx squad coming off a 11-9 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Central falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Red devils host George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME) to battle the Eagles in a Class C North challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
