The Martins Ferry Purple Riders softball squad (Martins Ferry, OH), was routed 12-6 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Harrison Central Huskies (Cadiz, OH)

With the triumph, Harrison Central improves its record to 17-7 on the year. The Huskies travel to Beaver Local (Lisbon, OH) to face the Beavers in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAA contest on Monday, April 28. The Beavers enter the contest with a record of 15-3. Beaver Local lost 11-3 in their recent non-league contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)

The Purple Riders now hold a 17-3 record. They play next when they host Shadyside for a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 30. Martins Ferry will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 12-8.
