Kansas High School Softball - Labette County bounces Independence
April 27, 2022: Independence, KS 67301 Labette County Grizzlies (Altamont, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS), 20-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now own a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Burlington for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. Labette County will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Independence falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Chanute (Chanute, KS) to face the Blue Comets in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. The Blue Comets enter the challenge with a record of 7-4.
