Kansas High School Softball - Chanute bounces Independence
May 5, 2022: Chanute, KS 66720 The Chanute Blue Comets routed the visiting Independence Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 17-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Blue Comets (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS). The Golden Tornado go into the non-league battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Field Kindley was routed by Chanute (Chanute, KS), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Parsons for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 10. Independence will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 1-9.
