York Falcons (Yorktown, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Grafton for a Bay Rivers challenge on Wednesday, May 4.

With the loss, Poquoson falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Islanders host Tabb (Yorktown, VA) to battle the Tigers in a Bay Rivers challenge on Friday, April 29. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Tabb won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA)
