Herron Achaeans (Indianapolis, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders (Indianapolis, IN), 17-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Achaeans now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cathedral for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. Herron will face a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Avon (Avon, IN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Raiders host Indianapolis Scecina Memorial (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Crusaders in a Indiana Crossroads challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 2-8.
