Virginia High School Softball - Kellam holds off Kempsville
April 27, 2023: Virginia Beach, VA 23464 Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kempsville Chiefs (Virginia Beach, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Knights now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Green Run for a Beach challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Kellam will face a Stallions squad coming off a 13-5 league loss to Cox (Virginia Beach, VA). The Stallions record now stands at 2-12.
With the loss, Kempsville falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) to face the Dolphins in a Beach challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Dolphins enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Ocean Lakes won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Salem (Virginia Beach, VA)
