Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting West Central Trojans (Francesville, IN), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Munster for a Northwest Crossroads challenge on Monday, April 29. Hanover Central will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-6.

With the loss, West Central falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to South Newton (Kentland, IN) to battle the Rebels in a Midwest challenge on Monday, April 29. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. South Newton lost 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN)
