In Monday's non-league game, the host Hunt Warriors baseball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Nash Central Bulldogs.

The Warriors (17-3) will now prepare for their game against Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC). The Gryphons enter the Big East 5A/6A game with a 2-17 record. In their last game, Rocky Mount was tipped by Southern Nash (Bailey, NC), 14-4, in a non-league game.
