Ragsdale Tigers (Jamestown, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers face the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A challenge, on Tuesday, May 3. Ragsdale will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 1-0 league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).

The Whirlies now have a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Guilford for a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Grimsley will face a Cowboys team coming off a 4-0 league win over Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Cowboys record now stands at 11-8.
