Mississippi High School Baseball - Stringer wallops Newton
April 28, 2023: Newton, MS 39345 Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), 12-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Stringer upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Puckett (Puckett, MS) to battle the Wolves in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 2. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 20-6. Puckett won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against East Marion (Columbia, MS)
With the defeat, Newton falls to 0-4 on the season.
