Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) and the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), saw Taft's baseball squad beat Shafter by a margin of 8-4.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia battle, on Monday, May 1. Taft will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the battle with a 16-2 record after their 12-0 league win over Delano (Delano, CA).

The Generals now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delano for a South Sequoia challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Shafter will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Kennedy (Delano, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-15.
