Virginia High School Soccer - Amherst County held off by Jefferson Forest
April 28, 2023: Forest, VA 24551 The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers held off the visiting Amherst County Lancers soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Friday's non-league match.
The Cavaliers now sport a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty Christian for a non-league match on Monday, May 1. Jefferson Forest will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-8.
With the loss, Amherst County drops to 6-3 on the season. The Lancers travel to Glass (Lynchburg, VA) to encounter the Hilltoppers in a non-league match on Monday, May 1. The Hilltoppers come into the match with a record of 8-1. Glass won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Liberty (Bedford, VA)
