The Central Valley Hawks nipped the visiting El Capitan Gauchos softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Friday's league battle.

The Hawks (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Thunder go into the Central California Conference battle with a 3-13 record.

The Gauchos now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Golden Valley for a Central California Conference battle on Wednesday, May 3. El Capitan will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Merced (Merced, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-8.
