Ohio High School Baseball - Union Local defeats Buckeye Local
April 28, 2025: Rayland, OH 43943 The Union Local Jets baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Buckeye Local Panthers to 2 in the Jets non-league win on Monday.
The Jets now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to John Marshall for a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. Union Local will play a Monarchs team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-13.
With the defeat, Buckeye Local drops to 5-11 on the year. The Panthers travel to Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH) to play the Purple Riders in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAA test on Wednesday, April 30. The Purple Riders go into the test with a record of 5-5.
