The Craig County Rockets baseball squad (New Castle, VA), was overwhelmed 15-2 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA)

With the triumph, Staunton River moves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 30. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 11-0. Jefferson Forest won 11-2 in their recent league contest against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA)

The Rockets now possess a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parry McCluer for a Pioneer contest on Thursday, May 1. Craig County will confront a Fighting Blues squad coming off a 11-6 league win over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 2-11.
