April 28, 2025: Ooltewah, TN 37363 Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN), 9-8 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Ooltewah advances its record to 20-9 on the season. The Owls host Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN) to battle the Hustlin' Tigers in a 4A District 6 match on Thursday, May 1. The Hustlin' Tigers come into the match with a record of 6-18. Howard Tech won 9-4 in their recent non-league match against East Ridge (Chattanooga, TN)
The Golden Eagles now have a 9-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland for a 4A District 5 match on Thursday, May 1. Rhea County will battle a Blue Raiders squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Lakeway Christian Academy (Morristown, TN). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 23-8.
