April 28, 2025: Betsy Layne, KY 41605 The Betsy Layne Bobcats edged the visiting Morgan County Cougars softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bobcats play the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Betsy Layne will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 13-4 league loss to Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY).
The Cougars (4-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry County Central (Hazard, KY). The Commodores enter the non-league challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, Perry County Central was nudged by Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
