The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) and the visiting Brighton Bulldogs (Brighton, MI), observed South Lyon East's softball team get by Brighton by a tally of 18-11.

The Cougars (7-10) will now prepare for their bout against Mott (Waterford, MI). The Corsairs go into the Lakes Valley bout with a 0-11 record. In their last bout, Mott was routed by Mott (Warren, MI), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
