The Groton Red Hawks softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Marathon Olympians to 3 in the Red Hawks league win on Monday.

The Red Hawks now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Cayuga for a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Small battle on Wednesday, April 30. Groton will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 26-3 non-league win over Newfield (Newfield, NY). The Chiefs record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Marathon moves to 1-5 on the season. The Olympians host Newfield (Newfield, NY) to confront the Trojans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 29.
