Virginia High School Softball - Ridgeview held off by Union
April 28, 2025: Clintwood, VA 24228 In Monday's league test, the Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA) softball squad got by the host Ridgeview Wolfpack (Clintwood, VA), by a tally of 2-1.
Next, the Bears clash with the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) in a Mountain 7 test, on Tuesday, April 29. Union will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 15-2 record after their 12-0 league win over Central Wise (Norton, VA).
The Wolfpack (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Union (Big Stone Gap, VA). The Bears go into the Mountain 7 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Union was nudged by Abingdon (Abingdon, VA), 16-5, in a league test.
