Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA), 12-3 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to River Valley for a challenge on Monday, May 2. Penns Manor will face a Panthers squad coming off a 9-1 league win over United (Armagh, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Purchase Line falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Red dragons host Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA) to face the Colts in a Heritage challenge on Monday, May 2. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Northern Cambria lost 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Marion Center (Marion Center, PA)
