Pennsylvania High School Baseball - West Scranton defeats North Pocono

April 29, 2024: Covington Township, PA 18444

West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA), 5-0 in a league test.

With the win, West Scranton upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Invaders host Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA) to battle the Comets in a Lackawanna 1 test on Wednesday, May 1. The Comets come into the test with a record of 10-3. Abington Heights won 10-0 in their recent league test against Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA)

With the defeat, North Pocono falls to 5-8 on the season. The Trojans host Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA) to battle the Buckhorns in a Lackawanna 1 test on Wednesday, May 1. The Buckhorns come into the test with a record of 9-6. Wallenpaupack Area lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Delaware Valley (Milford, PA)
