Maryland High School Softball - McDonough bounces Thomas Stone
April 29, 2024: Waldorf, MD 20601 McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD), 18-1 in a league challenge.
The Rams now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Annapolis for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. McDonough will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 24-4 league loss to Severna Park (Severna Park, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 2-15.
With the loss, Thomas Stone falls to 0-16 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD) to battle the Cavaliers in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Calvert won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Patuxent (Lusby, MD)
