Massachusetts High School Softball - Walpole holds off Newton North
April 29, 2024: Newtonville, MA 02460 Walpole Timberwolves (Walpole, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Timberwolves now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wellesley for a Bay State - Herget challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Walpole will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Weymouth (South Weymouth, MA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Newton North falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Needham (Needham, MA) to battle the Rockets in a Bay State - Carey challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Needham won 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Natick (Natick, MA)
