April 24, 2024: Brookline, MA 02445 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) and the host Brookline Warriors (Brookline, MA), witnessed Newton North's softball squad prevail over Brookline by a count of 20-1.
The Tigers now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Wakefield Memorial for a non-league match on Saturday, April 27. Newton North will face a Warriors squad coming off a 14-13 league loss to Reading Memorial (Reading, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Brookline moves to 0-6 on the season. The Warriors host Braintree (Braintree, MA) to face the Wamps in a Bay State - Carey match on Monday, April 29.
