The Martin County West Mavericks baseball squad (Sherburn, MN), was overwhelmed 9-3 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Cleveland Clippers (Cleveland, MN)

With the triumph, Cleveland moves its record to 10-3 on the season. The Clippers host Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN) to confront the Jaguars in a Valley contest on Thursday, May 1. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 2-6.

The Mavericks now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop for a non-league contest on Friday, May 2. Martin County West will confront a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-9.
