Virginia High School Baseball - Grayson County wallops Rural Retreat
April 29, 2025: Rural Retreat, VA 24368 The Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) baseball trounced the host Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA), 19-7 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 2. Grayson County will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 11-2.
With the defeat, Rural Retreat drops to 1-9 on the year. The Indians travel to Honaker (Honaker, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Honaker lost 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA)
