April 29, 2025: Hillsville, VA 24343 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the visiting Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA), saw Carroll County's soccer squad knock off Alleghany by a count of 2-0.
The Cavaliers (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders enter the non-league battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Glenvar tipped Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 13-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 1. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 1-1 non-league Floyd County (Floyd, VA).
