April 29, 2025: Algonquin, IL 60102 Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), 17-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Jacobs improves its record to 12-6 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Hampshire (Hampshire, IL) to face the Whip-Purs in a game on Wednesday, April 30. The Whip-Purs enter the game with a record of 6-5. Hampshire won 11-5 in their recent non-league game against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL)
The Royals now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside-Brookfield for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 30. Larkin will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.
