Rhode Island High School Lacrosse - Portsmouth overwhelms Smithfield

April 29, 2025: Esmond, RI 02917

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Portsmouth Patriots lacrosse squad scored a good 16-8 triumph over the Smithfield Sentinels.

The Patriots (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers go into the Division 2 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, East Greenwich knocked off Cranston West (Cranston, RI), 19-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sentinels clash with the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Friday, May 2. Smithfield will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Chargers go into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 19-3 league loss to Prout (Wakefield, RI).
