Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Leadership Academy Falcons (Kernersville, NC), 11-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, Cornerstone Charter improves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC) to face the Wolves in a Northwest Piedmont 1A game on Thursday, May 1. The Wolves enter the game with a record of 11-6. Bethany Community won 1-0 in their recent non-league game against Carver (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Falcons now hold a 7-7 record.
