The Cape Fear Colts triumphed over the visiting Pine Forest Trojans softball squad by a count of 8-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Colts meet the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 30. Cape Fear will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 20-0 league win over Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC).

The Trojans (5-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars enter the Mid-South 7A/8A challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Overhills edged Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC), 11-2, in a league challenge.
