The Triton Hawks softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Pine Forest Trojans to 14 in the Hawks non-league win on Wednesday.

The Hawks now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee County for a Carolina Pines 6A battle on Tuesday, March 3.

With the loss, Pine Forest moves to 0-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to confront the Bears in a non-league battle on Monday, March 2.
