The Peru Nighthawks softball squad (Peru, NY), was routed 14-2 in Wednesday's league contest with the visiting Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY)

With the triumph, Saranac improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Chiefs host Duanesburg (Delanson, NY) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 2. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 4-4. Duanesburg won 6-0 in their recent league contest against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY)

The Nighthawks now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Beekmantown for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Tuesday, May 5.
