West Virginia High School Softball - Weir gets by Oak Glen
April 3, 2023: Weirton, WV 26062 The Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) softball nipped the visiting Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV), 5-4 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Red Riders (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Bruins go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Brooke held off Linsly (Wheeling, WV), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
The Golden Bears now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Steubenville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 4. Oak Glen will confront a Big Red squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Dover (Dover, OH). The Big Red record now stands at 3-1.
