In Thursday's league game, the visiting Holy Cross Tigers baseball team scored a close 7-6 victory over the St. Augustine Purple Knights.

The Tigers (22-4) will now prepare for their game against Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 13-13 record. In their last game, Central Catholic held off Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA), 10-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Purple Knights face the Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA) in a 5A District 9 game, on Friday, April 4. St. Augustine will attempt to improve on its 16-10 season record.
