Louisiana High School Softball - Grand Lake bounces Basile
April 3, 2025: Lake Charles, LA 70607 The Grand Lake Hornets (Lake Charles, LA) softball routed the visiting Basile Bearcats (Basile, LA), 15-0 in Thursday's league outing.
The Hornets now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host DeQuincy for a 2A District 5 outing on Friday, April 4. Grand Lake will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Pickering (Leesville, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 14-11.
With the loss, Basile moves to 7-8 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Welsh (Welsh, LA) to encounter the Greyhounds in a non-league outing on Monday, April 7. The Greyhounds come into the outing with a record of 6-9. Welsh lost 12-1 in their recent non-league outing against Iota (Iota, LA)
