In Friday's non-league match, the host Westville Tigers softball team scored a nice 11-2 victory over the Covington Trojans.

The Tigers (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Cornjerkers go into the Vermilion Valley match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Hoopeston was routed by Urbana (Urbana, IL), 15-9, in a non-league match.
