The Douglas Tigers softball squad scored 22 runs and restricted the visiting Galena Grizzlies to 2 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

Next, the Tigers meet the Manteca Buffaloes (Manteca, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 4. Douglas will attempt to advance on its 7-11 season record. The Buffaloes go into the test with a 7-3 record after their 11-5 league win over Mountain House (Mountain House, CA).

The Grizzlies (0-18) will now prepare for their test against Newark Memorial (Newark, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Newark Memorial was routed by Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV), 6-1, in a non-league outing.
